If you can’t be bothered to read below—and honestly, I don’t blame you—I will cut to the chase. Here is a free online workshop with 25 ideas you can use the very next time you step into a classroom. I really hope you find it useful.

Hello everyone!
Over the last 5 years, I have been lucky enough to visit two or three schools every week across the UK, working with 100s of teachers and observing 1000s of lessons. I am also a massive research geek, and I get to talk to the world's leading education experts on my Mr Barton Maths Podcast. As a result of all this, I have learned a lot.
I have distilled everything I have learned into 25 online workshops, covering themes such as checking for understanding, responsive teaching, atomisation, coaching, problem-solving, and retrieval opportunities. Each workshop is crammed full of evidence-based, practical strategies, illustrated by images and audio from lesson observations, that you can try out the very next time you step into a classroom. Each workshop also has its own page on my Tips for Teachers website, where you can access the research and resources used.
Each workshop is designed to last 90 minutes and is intended to be taken with colleagues, with lots of opportunities for collaboration and discussion. Many departments use the workshops in their departmental meetings, and many schools either do the whole workshop together or share clips in CPD sessions or twilights. Once you purchase a workshop, you are free to share the entire thing, or clips, with any of your colleagues in your school as many times as you like for an entire year. So they really do have the potential to be long-lasting, impactful CPD.
Some workshops are maths-specific, some are designed for teachers or any subject or phase, and some are a bit of both. I clarify the intended audience on each workshop page so you can make an informed decision.
I have carefully selected one tip from each of the 25 workshops and compiled them into a free workshop to give you a flavour of their content and structure. I have also shared the introduction video for each workshop to give you an overview of what is included if you wish to purchase the complete workshop.
Feel free to share this workshop or any clips from it with your colleagues. I hope you find some good ideas that can positively impact your students' learning.
And if you choose to purchase one of the workshops - either directly or by sending me an invoice - then I hope you and your colleagues find that useful too.
Thanks so much for taking an interest in my work. Enjoy the free workshop!
What an amazing resource! I can't wait to explore it. Thanks, Craig!
