Two free tools for teachers
Sounds cocky, but I am proud of these...
Hello!
Earlier this week, I shared loads of free resources on my (now ad-free, and still 100% cost-free!) Mr Barton Maths website, and wrote a newsletter about how I built them.
Well, I am now officially a resource-creation addict, so I wanted to share two new tools I built this week after the kids went to bed.
Show All Board
This tool allows you to take photos of kids work with a phone/tablet and seamlessly share them on your board for class discussion. There is also a visualiser mode that lets you use your device’s camera for live modelling, either by you or by a student sitting at their desk.
The Show All Board is not just for maths teachers, so please share it with your colleagues outside maths. You can access the Show All Board here.
Maths Manipulatives
This tool is definitely for maths teachers. I wanted a blank canvas where you could use a whole range of maths manipulatives, from Dienes blocks to Numicon, calling in Cuinneaire rods and dice along the way. I have created a series of investigation questions that could be used alongside this. You can access the Maths Manipulatives tool here.
Both these tools are - and always will be - 100% free.
I hope you and your students find them useful. If so, the best way to support my work is to help spread the word about the new, improved Mr Barton Maths website so I can land a 7-figure sponsorship deal and retire in the sunshine.
